The research website ForecastAdvisor rates the 1-3 day accuracy of temperature and precipitation forecasts at cities around the nation.
There are a couple take-aways here. First, the top three most accurate predictive products are The Weather Channel, Weather Underground, and AccuWeather.
Here’s the kicker: The National Weather Service are not in the top four in Moscow/Pullman.
And the NWS’ accuracy is not in the top four anywhere in the nation.
