Trump Administration Set to Introduce New Medicaid Guidelines

One of the things I enjoyed about living in Germany was how clean everything was. There were always people out cleaning the streets.

I asked a German why that was. They told me that for someone to get an unemployment check, they had to go out an pick up trash and clean the streets for 8 hours per day. They didn’t just get to sit home and collect money.

The Trump administration is tightening the qualifications for Medicaid.

Inside sources say the White House will disclose new guidelines that would require Medicaid recipients to work.

The guidelines would allow individual states to add work requirements to their Medicaid programs for the first time.

The work requirements would only take effect if states choose to adopt them and apply for a government waiver.

Democrats argue the guidelines are a direct hit to Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion, which allows young and healthy adults to qualify for the program.

Details on the new rules are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
