Interesting how public this has become.
The nail may be in the coffin for the current regime.
Fans in the largest soccer stadium in Iran shouted, “Reza Shah, Rest in Peace.” The slogans were a protest against the current Islamist regime and in support of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last shah of Iran who ruled from September 16, 1941 until his overthrow by the Iranian Revolution on February 11, 1979.
The Shah was known for his policy of Western modernization (despite his history of brutally suppressing political dissent through his intelligence agency, the SAVAK).
