A winter storm will bring heavy snow to mountains and light snow over portions of southwest and south central New Mexico over the next 72 hours.

We will see a mix of rain and snow in the lowlands on Saturday, with heavy snow likely in the Sacramento mountains. Light snow across much of the mountains and lowlands may continue into early Sunday before tapering off late Sunday morning.

Total snow accumulations of up to two inches, localized amounts up to 5 inches, expected.

Plan on difficult travel conditions. Significant reductions in visibility are possible.
