Remember when climatologists promised us that snow would be a thing of the past?
Heavy wet snow sent tree limbs crashing down and left more than 100,000 customers without power across upstate New York.
Buffalo had received more than 8 inches of snow by 7 a.m. Friday, a record for March 2.
Areas south of the city received 20 inches (50 cm) or more.
Meanwhile, about 70 miles west, the Rochester area was closing in on a foot of snow.
