Record snowfall closes ALL roads in Iceland

This past weekend, Reykjavik was buried in the deepest February snowfall on record.

The 51 cm (20 inches) of snow beat the previous February record of 48cm set in 1952.

This beat the previous record not just for the date, mind you, but for the entire month of February. In fact, it was only 3cm (1.2 inches) short of the all-time record of 55cm, set in January of 1937.

Perhaps not surprisingly, all roads in Iceland were closed.
