The Palouse River is now expected to crest just below flood stage in Potlatch overnight. The National Weather Service is forecasting that the river at Potlatch should reach 14.7 feet either late tonight or early Friday morning. Flood stage is 15 feet. There is a chance the river will exceed flood stage. The crest is not expected to last long as the water should recede quickly.
