New Saint Andrews College in downtown Moscow has purchased the old CJ’s nightclub building to expand its campus to a second location. The private classical Christian college announced on Friday that it had finalized the purchase of the building on Main Street on the North edge of downtown. The building was bought from the owner of the old nightclub Phil Rodrick, who had the property since 1997. NSA plans to open a second campus location inside the building. Moscow City Council will consider that issue again Monday night. Council will consider a second appeal over a permit granted twice by the city’s board of adjustment. That Conditional Use Permit is required to allow NSA to operate in the old CJ’s building. The new appeal once again raises concerns over the college’s expansion on downtown parking. Monday night’s Moscow City Council meeting starts at 7:00 in city hall.
