New surgeon general sworn in by Vice President Pence

CLOSE WASHINGTON – Jerome Adams was sworn in as the nation’s 20th surgeon general Tuesday, saying his motto will be “Better health through better partnerships.” That’s something Indiana’s former health commissioner said he learned from Vice President Pence, the man who administered Adams’ oath of office Tuesday, three years after having appointed Adams to the state job while serving as Indiana’s governor.
