Moscow Police Chief James Fry Responds To Concerns About His Department’s Leadership Investigating Murders Of UI Students

Moscow Police Chief James Fry is responding to concerns from some people about this department’s leadership investigating the murders of four University of Idaho students.

Chief Fry reports that detectives are working through nearly 8,000 email tips, over 4,300 phone tips, and nearly 4,600 digital media submissions.

Moscow Police are aware of a Hyundai Elantra that was located in Eugene Oregon and detectives are working to determine if the vehicle is related to the case. Investigators have been asking the public for information about a white 2011 through 2013 Elantra that was seen near where the students were killed during the early morning hours of November 13th.

Moscow Police also say that any officer body cam videos that are circulating cannot be verified as authentic or unedited.

Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Ethan Chapin and Xana Kernodle were found stabbed to death inside an apartment near campus on November 13th.
