The Latah County Building Department is reminding homeowners about the dangers of heavy snow on roofs. The department issued an advisory Wednesday regarding the increased potential for roof collapses in Latah County. Officials are urging residents to remove large snow accumulations and drifts from their roofs using a snow rake. Warning signs of potential roof collapse including severe roof leaks, wall cracks, doors that pop open or doors and windows that become difficult to open.
