Lambert keeps Moscow mayor title; Pair of incumbents voted off of city council

And a brief summary from the Lewiston Tribune

MOSCOW – Moscow City Council meetings will have a somewhat familiar look in 2018, though there will be a few new faces.

Incumbent councilors Gina Taruscio and Art Bettge, as well as Moscow Mayor Bill Lambert, will all be retaining their seats.

Meanwhile, incumbent councilor John Weber lost to challenger Anne Zabala for the lone two-year term on the council, and three-term incumbent Walter Steed lost to Brandy Sullivan.

Lambert beat out challenger and longtime city councilor Linda Pall by 908 votes. He received 2,707 votes (60.08 percent), compared to Pall’s 1,799 votes (39.92 percent).

“We’re going to roll up our sleeves and continue the work we continued the last four years,” Lambert said. “I pounded on a lot of doors and I got a feel for what people wanted. … I like to have a grass-roots approach and really get ideas flowing. It doesn’t mean we agree with each other on everything, that’s just part of how we do things to get things done.”

“I’m excited,” he said.
