Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has just responded to Secretary of State John Kerry’s speech, and he didn’t hold back. He said Kerry’s speech was almost as unbalanced as the U.N.’s resolution.

Netanyahu said Israel is committed to a two-state solution, but Kerry is delusional. He spent most of his speech blaming Israel for the lack of peace.

He ultimately said that the United States needs to stop playing these games and lecturing Israel and instead recognize reality.

The Palestinians refuse to accept the existence of a Jewish state. You can’t negotiate with people who refuse to accept your existence. This is NOT Israel’s fault. This conflict is not about housing or communities in the Gaza Strip or West Bank. This conflict is rooted in Israel’s right to exist, period. It’s shameful, Netanyahu says, that Kerry fails to recognize that.

Despite the Obama administration’s actions, Netanyahu looks forward to mitigating the damage with the incoming Trump administration.
