Hundreds of cows killed or lost in Colorado blizzard

More than 2 feet of global warming has killed hundreds – perhaps thousands – of cattle in Southeastern Colorado. Drifts were reported up 15-feet (4.57 m) deep.

3 May 2017 — As of Wednesday afternoon, more than 300 head of livestock were reported dead in Baca County. Officials expect the numbers to increase as the snow melts and more are found.

Farmers and ranchers were working nonstop to find livestock that wandered off during the storm. Some ranchers found cattle 10 miles away from their normal pastures, even into Oklahoma.
