Heaviest snow in over 20 years closes I-90 Snoqualmie Pass

Don’t forget: global warming will make snow a thing of the past

Except where it’s not.

Or when scientists tell us we’re just lucky that the climate isn’t following their models…

The main route for motorists between Eastern and Western Washington will remain closed all day today.  The Washington Department of Transportation has closed I-90 Snoqualmie Pass because of heavy snow.  Over 4 feet of snow has fallen in the past 48 hours.   That’s the most snow on the Cascades Mountains pass in the last 20 plus years.  70 miles of I-90 from Ellensburg to North Bend was shut down at 5:30 Monday night.  The interstate will remain closed all day.  There is no estimate yet when it will reopen.
