Google is planning to launch a censored search engine in China

Don’t let Google fool you about being all for human rights. They are not. They are all for the bottom dollar, even when that means promoting non-liberty.

Google is planning to launch a censored search engine in China, reports The Intercept. An Android app featuring the restricted search — which omits websites about human rights, democracy, religion and other topics the government deems taboo — could be released within the next year. Google’s search is currently unavailable to most people within China; the tech giant operated censored search in the country from 2006 until March 2010.
