The ethics rules for disclosures of conflicts of interest within the US government’s highest law enforcement agencies are laughable. This one certainly led to the appearance of a conflict of interest (if not constituting a direct conflict) in the old administration with the Hillary investigation. The government ethics laws should be strengthened, not weakened, under the new administration.
