When “medical care” is another name for murder.
The Ohio law known as House Bill 214 that banned abortions which were based on the unborn baby being diagnosed with Down syndrome was blocked by a divided federal appeals court Friday.
The law, signed by former Gov. John Kasich in December 2017, would impose criminal penalties on doctors who perform an abortion knowing the woman based her decision to abort on a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome.
Circuit Judge Bernice Bouie Donald wrote in a 2–1 decision that the injunction served the public interest by ensuring “access to constitutionally protected health care services.”
