Incoming smoke on Friday pushed air quality to “unhealthy” in Spokane, the Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency reported.
Air quality in the region has been reaching the “unhealthy” or “unhealthy for sensitive groups” categories for more than a week in much of the region.
The National Weather Service says the smoky skies should subside Saturday morning, making way for a cooler week.
