We had near-record flooding at Paradise Creek (which runs along the Moscow-Pullman Highway in front of the UI).
It was one of the highest levels I’ve ever seen. And it was less than 4” from the record high.
You will notice a jump in levels. There was an error with the gauge, and when it was reset it jumped to over 11”.
The National Weather Service doesn’t think that the level jumped above that record of 11.4”, but they don’t know for sure.
Here’s a photo I took yesterday, when the creek was well down from the peak.
There was water all over the roads and playing fields.
