Washington Post headline about ISIS leader al-Baghdadi’s death refers to him as “austere religious scholar”

Washington post abu bakr al baghdadi astere religious scholarYou have got to love the spin that the Washington Post puts on everything.

The Washington Post received sharp pushback Sunday after publishing a headline about the death of ISIS founder and leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi which described him as an “austere religious scholar.”

The headline read: “Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at helm of Islamic State, dies at 48.”

Social media users savaged the news outlet for the take:

These savagings are well deserved.

Washington Post headline Baghdadi “austere religious scholar” is so sick it represents a pathology of leftwing self hatred. He was the world’s leading terrorist and tens of thousands ded because of him.
