A rapidly intensifying storm system will bring very strong winds, heavy rainfall, rough surf, beach erosion, and tidal flooding from the Northeast U.S. to New England through Thursday. The strong winds may bring down trees, power lines, and cause power outages. Rough surf combined with high astronomical tides will lead to minor to moderate tidal flooding.
