A judicial analyst claims the FBI offered a former British spy thousands of dollars if he could corroborate the anti-Trump dossier.
During an interview Monday, Judge Andrew Napolitano said from examining sources he believes the FBI offered Christopher Steele $50,000 to verify the document.
However, he then said Steele either couldn’t corroborate or wasn’t willing to since he was never paid.
It comes after Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said he was “not in a position to answer” whether the FBI paid for the dossier.
He made the comments while speaking in front of the House Judiciary Committee.
Napolitano says he would have pressed Rosenstein on the issue because Americans have the right to know.
