The University of Idaho is reporting that total enrollment is up this year while the number of on campus college students continues to decline.  The UI’s official total enrollment, including high school students taking classes with university credits, is at just over 12,000.  That’s up 2.4% from last Fall driven mostly be a nearly 25% jump in duel enrolled high school students.  Without the high school students, the UI saw another drop in traditional college students on campus.  That figure shows 80 fewer college students on UI campuses this Fall to just over 10,000.  That’s reflected in the Moscow campus college student enrollment which is down 30 to just over 9,300.  The last time UI enrollment was this high was 5 years ago when it peaked at about 12,500.  That number also included some duel enrolled high school students but their population was much smaller than today’s figure of just under 2,000.
