The Archbishop of Canterbury calls Islam a “pretext” for murder.
Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby has urged faith leaders to take action against religion being adopted as a pretext to commit mass terrorist atrocities.
Welby well knows what a pretext is:
a reason given in justification of a course of action that is not the real reason.
I would ask the Archbishop: if the koranic texts on jihad and slavery are not the real reason, what is?
