Definition of Underemployment:
Labor that falls under the underemployment classification includes those workers who are highly skilled but working in low paying jobs, workers who are highly skilled but working in low skill jobs and part-time workers who would prefer to be full time.
In other words: these degrees make you qualified to work at McDonald’s.
As I always tell my students: if you want to get a “going nowhere” degree, it’s your right. But don’t take out any student loans to do so. You cannot pay them back on a part-time McDonald’s salary.
