There were emotional scenes in Nigeria’s capital, Abuja, on Saturday as 82 schoolgirls freed by Boko Haram earlier this month were finally reunited with their families.

More than 270 girls were abducted from their secondary school in 2014, sparking global outrage.

The latest to be liberated were exchanged for commanders of the Islamist militant group, which is still thought to be holding around 100 of the girls kidnapped from the northeastern town of Chibok.
