Arkansas’s Rush to Execution

Arkansas plans to execute eight death row inmates in a ten day stretch in April. The state is rushing to carry out executions because the state’s supply of the lethal injection drug is expiring soon.

Seems like expiration dates should not be the driving factor for the timeline.

Arkansas’s Rush to Execution

In the space of 10 days in April, Arkansas plans to execute eight men – nearly a quarter of its entire death-row population, and more than a third as many people as were put to death in America in 2016. It would be the fastest spate of executions in any state in more than 40 years.
