More local parents are opting out of the standard government school options.
The City of Moscow’s Board of Adjustment will consider a required conditional use permit for a new school building Tuesday night. The Palouse Prairie Charter School wants to build a new 13,000 square foot facility on just over 2 acres off Sunnyside Avenue in Southeast Moscow. The new one story school would house up to 220 students, 15 teachers and include a separate 4,000 square foot multi-purpose room along with a 24 space parking lot. The Palouse Prairie Charter School is a public school funded by Idaho state dollars. It opened in 2009 at its current location on South Main Street across from the A&W. The project would be funded through state dollars and private donations. Tuesday night’s City of Moscow Board of Adjustment public hearing on the permit required for the school starts at 7:00 in city hall.
