The Heritage Foundation Announces Kay Coles James as Its Next President

NewImageThis is a great move. Kay Coles James is simply amazing.

I have two degrees of separation from her. And everything I hear is glowing.

For the first time in the organization’s history, an African American woman is named president of The Heritage Foundation.

On Tuesday, it was announced Kay Coles James will become the sixth president in the think tank’s 44-year history.

This comes after former president and founder Edwin Feulner announced his plans to step down due in fighting within the organization.

James has been a member of the Heritage’s board of trustees since 2005, and previously served under three presidents, including Ronald Reagan.

She also served as a senior advisor to President Trump during his transition to the White House.

James will begin her tenure in January.
