Two people are dead and a third is in the hospital following an altercation on the 600 block of Preston Avenue in Lewiston.
Lewiston police Lt. Jeff Klone said shortly after 5 a.m. officers responded to a home and discovered two deceased subjects. A third adult was at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center being treated for a stab wound to the back. Klone said the injury is “serious but stable.”
Klone refused to identify the victims.
He said a person of interest has been identified as Richard Carlin, 73. His location is unknown but he was last seen driving a red 1996 Toyota Corolla with license plate number N 100378.
Klone said Carlin is considered armed and dangerous and anyone seeing the vehicle description is to call 911. Klone refused to say if a knife was used in the homicides.
