The predictable Leftist freak out has ensued this week after Trump rescinded Obama’s unconstitutional policy requiring that all schools across the country allow boys into girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms. One thing about the liberal response to this issue really stands out: their utter contempt for the perspective of girls and women on this issue. The vast majority of women do not want men in the bathroom with them, but Leftists say their feelings are invalid, their concerns irrelevant, and their safety unimportant.
The very people who so often claim that we’re living in a “rape culture,” and who are apt to cry harassment when a man so much as compliments a woman in the wrong way, are the same ones who tell young girls to shut up and stop complaining when men with penises stroll into their locker rooms and bathrooms. In every other context, men are chastised for their “male privilege” if they act in a way that makes women uncomfortable, but if a girl is uncomfortable looking at male genitalia in her locker room, suddenly she’s the one being inconsiderate.
Yesterday, a CNN anchor went so far as to say that 12-year-old girls who don’t want to be exposed to penis in the locker room are “intolerant.” And yet these people pretend they’re the ones concerned about protecting women? It’s a joke. Anyone who would forfeit the safety of women for the sake of some man’s fetish does not get to talk about “rape culture” or “male privilege” with any credibility.
