Here's why - Tea Party activists are seeking a nonviolent, 'ecumenical' solution to the problems that our country faces. This means that there is no crisis to exploit to encourage act first think later legislation.

Islamic Jihadist's on the other hand are violent, vitriolic and easily become manageable point sources of crisis that can encourage the needed "Ready! Fire! Aim!" mindset that the Democrats need to get their dream legislation passed.
