Climate change a scheme
The following letter to the editor appeared in today’s Moscow-Pullman Daily News:
The jig is up. Climategate revealed that top scientists at the Climate Research Unit in East Anglia, headed by Phil Jones, a main research contributor to the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, manipulated data to fit their desired outcome. It appears that these scientists and others in the United States, who are supposed to seek truth, were corrupted by leftist ideology, greed and notoriety. It seems these scientists aren't so god-like after all.
For decades this fraud has been allowed to gain momentum. Political, corporate and environmental leaders have gained influence, wealth and power perpetuating the man-made climate change/global warming myth. They are meeting in Copenhagen to plot their future strategies as to how they can impose global taxation on industrial nations so they can redistribute trillions of dollars, regulate carbon emissions - in essence, hurting our economy and making everything cost more - and regulate our personal energy use.
This entire fraud, being perpetrated on Americans by instilling guilt for our prosperity, is not free-market capitalism, but will lead to control and command, central government planning designed to gain more control over our lives. Apparently, "the science is settled" or "the debate is over" or "there exists a scientific consensus" is another way of saying "the end justifies the means."
The bottom line is that our leaders are going to make energy more costly, less abundant and under more governmental control. To learn more, google Climategate, Phil Jones or CRU.
