Latah County extends deadline for paying property taxes to Dec. 21
For those of you who pay taxes.

Latah County property taxes are due Dec. 20, the county treasurer's office announced.
Property tax statements were mailed out in November. Because Dec. 20 falls on a Sunday, 2009 taxes only are extended to Dec. 21. Payments made or mailed after Dec. 21 will be charged a 2 percent penalty.
The tax collector drop box in the main parking lot of the Latah County Courthouse will remain open until 5 p.m. Dec. 21. Credit-card payments can be made at the treasurer's office, by phone or online; there is a 2.95 percent vendor processing fee.
