Gallup Poll of Interest: Greater Optimism About U.S. Health System Coverage, Costs
Recent polls of interest from the Gallup Organization:
Greater Optimism About U.S. Health System Coverage, Costs: Substantially more Americans rate healthcare coverage in the country as excellent or good this year (38%) than did so a year ago (26%). Similarly, more Americans now say they are satisfied with the total cost of U.S. healthcare (26%) than said this a year ago (19%).
Perhaps when faced with having their healthcare nationalized and rationed, Americans realized they weren’t so bad off after all.
Americans See Access as Most Urgent Health Problem: One-third of Americans (32%) say access to healthcare is the most urgent health problem facing the country at this time, followed by cost of healthcare (18%) and the flu (16%).
Which is interesting. Concern for the cost of healthcare comes in practically tied with the concern about the flu.
