National Religious Leaders to Release Historic Declaration on Christian Conscience

From The Aquila Report:

On Friday (November 20) a group of prominent Christian clergy, ministry leaders and scholars will release the Manhattan Declaration, which addresses the sanctity of life, traditional marriage and religious liberty.

The 4,700-word declaration issues a clarion call to Christians to adhere to their convictions and informs civil authorities that the signers will not - under any circumstance - abandon their Christian consciences.

Drafted by Dr. Robert George, Dr. Timothy George and Chuck Colson and signed by more than 125 Orthodox, Catholic and evangelical Christian leaders, the Manhattan Declaration will be made public at a press conference held in the Lisagor Room at the National Press Club.

I guess they figure that they can’t throw everyone in jail.

Or can they?

Dale,

"I guess they figure that they can’t throw everyone in jail."

You know better than that.

Of course they can, and without the slightest qualm. History is replete with examples. Hardly a speedbump on the road of "progress".

Gray,

My bad. I should have made it clear I was being cynical.

In the navy there's an expression: "they can't bust all of us."

But yet they can (and do, and will).

Can American gulags be far behind?
