'SEND CONGRESS A PINK SLIP' CAMPAIGN ON FIRE

With more members of Congress extolling it and the news media reporting on it, the "Send Congress a Pink Slip" campaign experienced its biggest day ever with another half-million notices sent, putting the total number of 'pink slips' to over 5.5 MILLION.
On Tuesday, four members of the House of Representatives hailed the program in a Capitol news conference, saying it is getting the attention of members on both sides of the aisle.
The notices, if stacked vertically, would be more than three times as tall as the Washington Monument and taller even than Taiwan's 1,671-foot Taipei Financial Center, the world's tallest building. Laid out end-to-end, they would stretch 737 miles – from Washington D.C. to St. Louis, Missouri.
