Nancy Chaney: I was for it before I was against it...
Back in Nov 2007 (before Steed, Krauss and Carscallen were installed), Mayor Nancy Chaney was lobbying the City Council to sell water rights to Hawkins!
During the last Water Summit, Sen. Schroeder presented this memo from Nancy Chaney to the City Council and City Attorney dated Nov. 2007.
As it turns out, Steed, Krauss, and Carscallen were actually pursuing something Chaney herself had started: selling water rights to Hawkins!
I was trying to track this down this morning. And then I found out that Weber brought this letter out today during a Chamber of Commerce lunch and discussed it with everyone at the luncheon.
So the letter is apparently making the rounds right now. But this is the first place to make it public.
Nothing like being hoisted on one’s own pertard.
