Moscow homes burglarized

Lock your doors.

From KLEW TV in Lewiston:

There was a cluster of home invasions in Moscow early Tuesday morning.

Assistant Police Chief David Duke said there were three of them, all between midnight and 2 -3 a.m.

The burglaries occurred in the 1600 block of Lenter Street, the 2000 block of Willow View Place and the 300 Block of Sweet Avenue. Duke said in all three cases, the intruder or intruders entered through unlocked doors and that the residents were home, but did not hear the burglars.

At the Lenter residence, a sliding glass door was used for entry. A jewelry box was taken. On Willow View, an opened garage door provided access. There a purse, two cell phones and a mountain bike were stolen. On Sweet Avenue, an iPod, a purse and a 1998 Dodge Caravan were stolen. The van was recovered Tuesday afternoon in the 2000 block of Main Street.

Police say two vehicle prowls in the 400 block of Boyde Avenue are believed to be related.

Police are asking for help in this investigation. Anyone with information can call 882-COPS or the crime tip hotline at 892-3898.
