As Sessions Moves Against State-Legal Weed, Vermont Lawmakers Approve Marijuana Bill

This will be a great time for the States to rediscover the 10th Amendment and tell the feds that they have no right to dictate drug laws.

And then apply that to abortion laws. And homosexual marriage laws.

Where is any of that in the Constitution as a federal power?

  1. How about interracial marriage? That was banned and married couples were arrested, prosecuted, convicted, and told to leave the state. Should the federal government stay out of that too? Didn’t think so. Abortion has been legal nationwide for nearly 45 years and no one has thought of invoking the 10th Amendment on that issue until now!?!

    • The 10th amendment has been discussed a lot since the SCOTUS overrode the State’s rights in abortion. Same thing with marriage.

If the states rightfully tell the feds to stick it regarding MJ laws, they can do the same regarding abortion, homosexual marriage, and any other law that the feds have no legal right to dictate.
