Al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri urges action against American interests “everywhere” in his latest video. The 17-minute address focuses on several issues but always keeps its sights on attacking the U.S.
Al-Zawahiri says the battle is about religion – the differences between Islam and the secular, materialistic West.
Zawahiri draws attention to what he sees as:
- The impudent Donald Trump showing America’s true colors and the real views of Americans towards Muslims
- The only ways to deal with American aggression which aredawa and jihad
- The successful attacks by jihadis against American interests in Somalia, Kenya, Yemen and elsewhere
- The day when the mujahideen will defeat the U.S.
